Email validation not working on iPhone

I have a simple form which I applied validatious 2. It has simple fields for name and email and it is working perfectly when I apply required + word for the two first and required + email for the email, on all the browsers. When I tried it on the iPhone it is impossible to validate the email field. I had to take the validation completely from the email, both the required and the email class to be able to submit the form. Is this a bug or is there a trick to solve it?
